2020, Carers Feedback

Each Year as part of our 'End of Year' impact report. We talk to the carers of the Young people we have supported and get there feedback on the experience they have had. The report details the feedback from our New Trails Programmme and will be added to a larger end of year report.

We were delighted to get such great feedback and to know that the work we are doing is having such a great impact on the lovely young people and families we work with. We will be able to use this information to look at area's for improvement also. Thanks to all who took the time to chat with us and give us their insights.

New Trails programme

The Active Connections New Trails programme is an activity-based intervention service which supports participants and their families. We use a range of adventure activities in combination with Brief Solution Focused Coaching (SFBT) to help participants identify and action their solutions to their difficulties. New Trails helps youths, teens and young adults connect their desire for more freedom and independence with the reality that they must take on the responsibility that comes with that freedom. The aim is to instill confidence, strength, new perspectives and skills for dealing with the transition to adulthood.

We at Active Connections know that everyone has the ability to overcome adversity. We believe that parents and guardians play a pivotal role for the progression of our participants; with this in mind, we offer an intervention service with the aim of supporting appropriate, effective and lasting change for participants.
